Three new airliner releases are expected from Revell Germany late in 2017.  One is a re-release of an existing mould (and repeated markings), the other two are all-new.  All three are expected to be released late in Q4 2017 (that’s Oct/Nov/Dec 2017), with no firm eta for their arrival in North America and at AHS.

Re-released:

• RV3922 Airbus A.380-800, Emirates Airlines

Entirely new kits are:

• RV3942 Airbus A.320NEO (Markings not yet announced)
• RV4952 Airbus A.321NEO (Markings not yet announced)

“NEO” means “New Engine Option”, with “Sharklet” wingtips.

It is rumoured that while the A.321 will be a full kit including landing gear, the A.320 might be a kit with a display stand only, and no landing gear.  The “logic” behind this rumour being that the A.320NEO kit is cheaper, and that it is in Revell’s “simpler” series 3 while the A.321 is in series 4.  Sorry, makes no sense to me.  The A.380 is in series 3, and is a far more complicated kit than the A.320/A.321 can ever be.  And, previously released “RV3” airliners have all included landing gear (3937 Emb190, 3938 Airbus A.350, 3946 Boeing 727-100, and so on.  Time will tell….

All three kits are available for pre-order, and will be shipped as soon as they arrive.

Zvezda announced a 1/144 scale Boeing 737-800 some time ago, it has finally arrived in North America.  ZVE-7019 comes with a decal for the rather plain UT Air scheme, though countless after market  decals are already available.   A nice touch is that Zvezda provides clear cockpit and cabin windows, and both the earlier APB and newer “Split Wngtips” (a.k.a. “Schimitar wingtips”) are included.

A review of inventory, necessary evil at tax time, confirmed I am over-stocked on a few kits.  Some are no longer generally available, but either way, I have more than I really need to support sales.   So, you win!

To find them, you can search in a few ways.

First, and probably easiest, type “-csp” (without the quotes) in the search box top left on the home page.  You should find everything.  “CSP” means Clearance Sale Price”.

Alternatively, look down the left side of the home pags.  Number 6 is the “Clearance Table”, and under that relevant categories.

No limits, no conditions!   Add what ever you want to a shopping cart, and proceed through checkout.  A few customers have already picked a few items, most are limited quantities at the “CSP” price.

The long delayed Boeing 787-9 ‘Dreamliner’ kit by Zvezda has finally arrived!  I have contacted those of you who pre-ordered it, and have packed and mailed the kits.  I have three kits left for general sale.

Zvezda has announced two new kits:

• ZVE7011 Ilyushin 76 (previously announced in 2015)

Zvezda has shown photographs of the fuselage sprues for the 737.  Looks good so far!

The 777-200LR, -300ER and -200F are all exclusively powered by the GE90-110B1 or -115B engines, as supplied in the Zvezda / Revell 777-300 kit.  The engines listed above are intended to allow the modeller to build a -300 from the Zvezda kit, or a shortened -200 or -200ER.
