A “First” for Tamiya – their first Airliner! For many years, I have examined Tamiya’s outstanding military aircraft models, lamenting that it would be so great if they would release an airliner model of similar quality, accuracy and detail. Well, it’s here.
Tamiya announced kit TAM92197 at a recent hobby show in Japan, showing two completed models in the supplied “Fuji Dream Airlines” markings.
At the time of writing, the number of parts is not available. Tamiya does say the kit will be moulded in white plastic, with clear cockpit and cabin windows. A large decal will be included that allows the modeller to build any one of the first 10 E.175’s in the very colourful Fuji Dream
markings.
The Japanese web sites are suggesting a July 2016 release. The Tamiya US web site says the Suggested Retail price will be $42, but gives no expected availability date.
