Northwest and NWA Northwest Boeing 757 Decals released

Our next pair of decals are here, and ready to go.

Complementing the previously released DRAW Decal for the Boeing 757 in the delivery “Northwest Orient” scheme, we have added the later ‘Bowling Shoe’ and final scheme decals.

Both decals include all elements need to build either a series 200 or series 300.

Honeywell Aerospace Boeing 757-225 Testbed

I am pleased to finally be able to announce a project I’ve been coordinating for about six months now….

Honeywell Aerospace, based at Sky Harbor airport in Phoenix AZ operates an ex Eastern Airlines Boeing 757-200 as a flying testbed for new engines and avionics.  This collaboration, involving Jennings Heilig, Sergey Druz, and Greg Drawbaugh sees two decals produced for the two schemes that this aircraft has worn in Honeywell service.   Jennings did the artwork, and in the case of the early scheme, using photos kindly shared by Greg.  Sergey designed and has produced the ‘Golden Engine’, a Honeywell HTF7000 turbofan that Honeywell installed on the aircraft annually to test and calibrate the equipment and sensors on the 757.

New Product Announcements, October 31st 2023

We received a shipment from Welsh Models this week, which included the following two new 1/144 scale resin kits.

Sergey Druz has released his new resin IAE V.2500 engines for the A.320CEO family. with separate sets for the Revell or Zvezda kit. The difference is the pylon, which has been customized to fit the respective kit wing contours. Our first deliveries are in stock.

DRAW Decal has re-released their LAN Chile Airbus A.320 decal. This decal was released many years ago (as evidenced by the sheet number), but required significant update to better fit the current A320 kits.

First new release this week came from DRAW Decal

26 Decal continued to release new 1/72 scale decals this week.

26Decal also released two sets in 1/72 scale for a variety of helicopters.

It looks like Saudia has decided to return to a modernised version of their older green/blue stripe and green tail livery. A Boeing 777-300ER (see 8A144-802 amd 8A200-802) was painted as such and marketed as a ‘retro’ scheme, however it would appear that the decision has been made to paint the whole fleet in this scheme.
