I have again teamed up with Jennings Heilig (of Liveries Unlimited, Airways Graphics and Fundekals fame) to bring you more of his excellent airliner decals.
The 757 decals are designed specifically for the Zvezda kit. The BAC 1-11 decal is designed for the Eastern Express kit.
JH has drawn a variety of ‘What if?’ renditions of the Boeing 757 finished in the liveries of airlines that (sadly) either never selected the aircraft, or they updated their liveries before first delivery, or went out of business before it came along. JH and I are considering releasing one as a ‘screen printed’ decal (Cartograf printed, etc), and we would like to solicit input as to which one should be selected.
Please be aware this survey is no promise or guarantee that the winner will be printed. As with any project, the economic feasibility must factor in. That said, if money were no object, I’d probably print most of them.
The first and second rounds of voting are complete. In this first round, you had the choice of all the liveries that JH illustrated and posted on Airline Cafe as candidates along with a few more we thought might be of interest. At the end of the 1st round, when I reviewed the results, I found we had a 3-way tie for 9th place. So, consequently, there were 11 options in Round 2.
At the end of round 2, we have three airlines within a single vote of each other for 2nd, 3rd and 4th place, so consequently I have decided to allow 4 airlines to move on to round 3. If the winner of Round 3 is one of the airlines with multiple livery options (i.e. Eastern or United), there will be a Fourth Round to choose the winning livery.
Images for all four airlines and all of the options can be found after the survey.
REMINDER: Now that we are down to 4 options, 1 votes per person please!
The poll software tells me how many votes have been cast by each participant. It’s easy to spot those who are trying to place more than 1 vote. And just as easy for me to “Blacklist” those who do. As of the close of round 2, there are six IP addresses on the Blacklist…. all their votes were cancelled, and did not factor in to the round 2 results. Please lets not have a repeat in round 3.
If the poll does not appear below, click the link to get to it.
We are packaging the 1/144 scale Eastern Express BAC 1-11-200 / -300 / -400 with a decal by Vintage Flyer. All of the recently released VFD 1-11 decals are available as options, along with an option with a “Detail Decal” that will enhance your alternate airline decal.

The first round of voting is complete. In this first round, you had the choice of all the liveries that JH illustrated and posted on Airline Cafe are candidates along with a few more we thought might be of interest. Upon reflection, I realized that a few options (e.g. Eastern, United, PSA, Western, Lufthansa) on the first list had the potential to “Split the Vote”, so where an airline is repeated, I decided to combine the results. Then, when I reviewed the results, I found we had a 3-way tie for 9th place. So, consequently, there are 11 options in Round 2.
In Round 2 when you vote for United Airlines, you are voting for either of the two schemes that JH has drawn. The top three choices will move on to Round 3. Then, if the winner of Round 3 is one of the airlines with multiple livery options (e.g. Eastern, United), there will be a Fourth Round to choose the winning livery.
Images for most of the options can be found after the survey….. apologies that we don’t have images for them all.

First up, the Zvezda Airbus A.321 with Condor markings has arrived, as kit ZVE-7040. It is the “CEO” version, released for a second time, having previously been released with Aeroflot markings as ZVE-7017.
I have once again teamed up with Jennings Heilig (of Liveries Unlimited, Airways Graphics and Fundekals fame) to continue to bring you his excellent airliner decals.
All the decals are screen printed by Cartograf, and feature fine details that have to be seen (under a good magnifying glass!) to be believed. As they are screen printed (not laser), they are available in a finite quantity, so get yours soon!
The first four decals are specifically designed for the Zvezda Boeing 757-200 kit, and are now available to order. More are planned for 2022, and will be announced in due course.
Not a lot of news again this week, just two new decals to introduce.
Good news is that our distributor has received a fresh stock of Zvezda Boeing 757-200 kits, and I have placed a large order. They should be here between Christmas and the New Year.
8ADecs has released another decal for the Zvezda 757 kit:
8A144-747 AeroMexico Boeing 757-200 (two schemes)
DRAW Decal has also released a new decal for the 757:
